Mary B, you tickle me! Figure of speech, of course. From details of today’s ride, a grand skunk drawing, to fabulous sounding cookies (making them soon) to the Staedtler clutch pens! (I started college to become a chemical engineer, 1967. No mechanical pencils were permitted or may not have existed?! The instructor was adamant that we not call our activity “printing.” “Lettering,” he would nearly shout! Sort of an unhappy fellow. We had springy lead holders for various darknesses of lead and used a lead pointer for adjusting line width. Barbaric by today’s standards. We used slide rules for all calculations and became masters at interpolating readings on the rule. So very long ago. Today I need no interpolation to recognize a dandy post when I see it! Oh happy days.

That avocado came out brilliantly! I hope the cookies taste as good as they look. 🤗🤗

The cookies were/are amazing, Beth. I could have eaten all of them in about 10 minutes!

The skunk is fabulous!

And gosh, that Staedtler link is fascinating - thank you so much. I hadn't heard of a clutch pencil before Terry mentioned it in his comment on your previous post, and then I assumed it was another name for a mechanical pencil. But it isn't! Really interesting.

Thanks, and you're welcome. I, too, thought a clutch pencil was a mechanical pencil, and yes, so interesting! I would like to go to the Staedtler factory!

Let’s, and we can wear matching outfits, say, something black with something grey, just like a pigment liner!
