I left home at 5:30 am to ride to the Y and I was in the pool at 5:43. I was the only one on the road and/or sidewalks. Whoosh!
Work was a carbon copy of yesterday: calm, organized, easy breezy. I had enough time to draw today’s and and a few of tomorrow’s BrewTime© Post-Its.
I’m enjoying this week’s 10 Minute Artist with Adam Ming - Drawing Birds; 4 & 5 are below. On the left is a Jackdaw (thanks RH for the inspiration) and on the right is the extinct Ivory-billed Woodpecker.
Jim and I rode to the pool mid-afternoon for swim #2 for me and his daily. The water was great, the pool was humming with at least 1 swimmer per lane.
I had some fun thinking about Texas shade as we hurl into triple digit temps and the shade is always welcomed.
Awesome art showing Texas shade! 'No shade - clearance' - 😂😂😂
Your portrait of Jacko is adorable - you've got his white feathers JUST RIGHT. ❤️❤️❤️
I'm sad to learn that such a happy-looking bird as the ivory-billed woodpecker is extinct, but happy to report that I wouldn't've known that just from looking at your picture of him. xxx
