I rode to the library via the Westcreek Greenway to return books after supper. It was quiet with light traffic on paths and sidewalks, a pod of 8 cyclists rode silently in front of me. They were far enough away that I heard nothing; it felt fitting for the evening’s stillness.
I was thankful for our yellow bug glasses (commandeered safety glasses): often in the evening one doesn’t need sunglasses but the bugs can be out in force. They fly in a curtain formation. Riding through them takes a moment.
Work was peaceful today.
Those bug glasses are ingenious, Mary! What a great idea!
The bug glasses are cool! I hate when I bike through a swarm and inhale one. That can sting for hours!
