This was in my mind when I woke up this morning, not sure why it was front and center, but it was.
Note: it was almost long-sleeve t shirt weather predawn. I even needed a blanket - the windows were wide open, wonderfully fresh, cool air drifting in. Ahhh. Fall!
Jim and I rode to the library on our usual Westcreek Greenway route midmorning to return books via the ride-through book drop. Next was UPS to drop off a parcel for my daughter, then we rode home.
After lunch we rode to amoeba for a swim. Brrr the water was cold and the pool mostly in the shade. I skimmed the surface while Jim swam, then I swam, too, but not very far or long. My arms stayed cold in and out of the water, all of me was cold throughout. We warmed up by sitting in the sun on the pool deck before riding home.
I made our favorite freezer date/oatmeal/coconut/cocoa bars then rode to Walmart to look for part of my son’s birthday present, but no luck. Hopefully I’ll find what I’m looking for tomorrow.
I decided to practice drawing hands this evening, inspired by David Rickert’s Substack, Drawing Hands #4: Practice and Forms.
Then I drew Jim’s hands:
Mary B! Once again you seem to have hit the ground running this morning. Did you draw the “Freedom” bear before or after some tea? Is he setting out for a rally? We are having our first cool mornings now in Tallahassee and it’s such a relief. Your grey t-shirt is a master piece. All the best always.
Fall is my favorite. :) Happy weekend Mary B.
