I drew this morning before I swam, inspired by what was top of mind when I woke up: “Stay on track” and Red Fish, my daughter’s cat’s neglected toy.
I rode to the Y at 5:12 under a moonlit and starry sky. Hip Guy was waiting and we were joined by two regulars soon after. Three of us experienced cricket-gedon yesterday; the lifeguard told us the crickets were still “pretty bad”. I walked to my favorite lane and there they were, just like yesterday. I opted out of swimming, rode home, and went to work early.
I didn’t have time to draw at work, coffee making was at record levels.
Jim rode to amoeba early this afternoon and had a good swim. I walked to amoeba around 3 pm and skimmed the surface of leaves, debris, and an acorn hat flotilla. I had a good swim, too, in the cool and comfortable water.
The acorn hats bobbed around on the pool’s sunny surface, my imagination filled in the gaps.
That last drawing gave me a chuckle! Thanks for brightening my day.
Oh Mary, the acorn hat bobbers!!!! And do I recognise the two on the far right? Your polar bear and bunny (whose names I've forgotten)?
'Stay on track' is such a great sentiment with which to start the day! Perfect. And soooo wise! 🙌
