Jim rode solo to HEB via the Westcreek Greenway and Violet Crown Trail - North early this afternoon for the usual (and to get a $.46 refund for a particular item that was supposed to have been discounted and wasn’t at the time of checkout. We save our receipts for such things). Sweet potatoes were on sale, too: $.77/lb. rather than the $1.12/lb. that they’ve been since Christmas.
He reported warm and muggy but very comfortable conditions due to the cloud cover. He said he didn’t push it and had “a very nice ride”. Traffic was light.
I had a big surprise at work this morning!
I got in around 7:30 am and saw an Amazon package on my desk, not unusual as that’s where all packages are delivered in my office. I checked the addressee, and lo and behold, it was to me. However, I hadn’t ordered anything from Amazon in months.
I started the coffee, drew my BrewTime© Post-Its, hustled and bustled and puttered around.
Ah! I had time to open the package. This is what I saw:
What?!?!?! I was so surprised and touched, and messaged everyone on the Slack channel my deepest appreciation and thankfulness for such a thoughtful gift. All the love they responded back to me made me teary. I’m so thankful for my job and co-workers. 😊
OH! What an absolutely gorgeous surprise, Mary - and THE absolute perfect gift for you - they know you very well!
And today's BrewTime art is particularly adorable - no-spill possum, 'bug meet' - wonderful work!
Oh my goodness!!!! How WONDERFUL!!! I have tears in my eyes over here. How truly lovely of them! I’m sure you’re making great use of the new materials. And as always, I adore your art. Hugs dear Mary. Happy sigh. 🤗😘💕
